Describe an endomorph
Endomorphs are roughly pear-shaped with wide hips and wide shoulders and have a tendency to gain weight. They will find it hard to carry out weight bearing aerobic exercises and other aerobic exercises such as distance running. They also have short legs. However, they are well suited to activities such a rugby, where their bulk is an advantage.
Describe a mesomorph
Mesomorphs have a generally wedge shaped body, with broad wide shoulders, muscled arms and legs, narrow hips and a minimum amount of fat. A mesomorph can excel in strength agility and speed sports, and mostly adapted to swimming.
Describe an ectomorph
Ectomorphs are predominantly long, slender and thin, with narrow shoulders and hips, thins arms and legs, with very little body fat. They are not suited to power and strength sports, but can excel in endurance sports such as marathon running and gymnastics where their light frame is an advantage.
