What does the policy of inclusion state?
It is a policy that states no one should experience barriers to learning as a result of their disability, gender, heritage, special educational needs, ethnicity, social group, sexual orientation, race or culture.
How did the Olympic games cater for disabilities?
They held a separate competition called the Paralympics which had been completely adapted to suit the needs of disabled performers. A few adapted examples are wheelchair basketball and Equestrian events (horseback or horse riding events).
How is wheelchair basketball adapted to suit disability?
The hoop heights are the same, but some of the rules such as travel have been adapted to suit disability.
How is equipment adapted to suit disability?
For example in blind football, the ball has been adapted to have a bell in it so that it is audible when it moves and so the players can track it. Also wheelchairs have been specially designed for performers.

Doors and doorways have to wide enough to allow wheelchair access and ramps must be provided.
How does parking at facilities have to cater for disability?
Disabled bays must be marked and made available.
How does provision in facilities have to cater for disability?
Lifts must allow access to upper floors, disabled toilets must be provided and there must be specific activities, clubs or sports that are particularly suited to the disabled.
