during first 12 weeks - heart, spine, arms, legs, other organs
neural tube closes 4 weeks
at 7-8 weeks, heart beats and fetus begins to move
fetal heart tones first heard when
10-12 weeks by doppler
RHOGAM
At 28 weeks and within 72 hours of delivery
placenta previa risk factors
present in prior pregnancy > 35 yo smoker twins or + previous uterine scar
more likely to resolve when found earlier
chronic htn
before 20 weeks and after 12 weeks pp
gestational htn
> 140/90 without proteinuria in normotensive pt now after 20 weeks
preeclampsia
? 149/90 with proteinuria of 0.3 g or greater in 24 hour urine
eclampsia if convulsions
severe preeclampsia or GH
> 160/110 for at least 6 hours

fasting > 95
1 hr > 180
2 hr > 155
3 hr > 140
GBS
test at 35 weeks - 37
tx penicillin
OR ampicillin
PUPPP
women develop papulovesicular lesions on the trunk and extremities
prurigo of pregnancy
excoriated areas on trunk or limbs
pruritic folliculitis
rash around ahir follicles, pustular
PROM
premature = before labor onset, at any gestational age
PPROM
pROM prior to 37 weeks
