Q

Procedure:

A
  1. Collect 3ml of venous blood in EDTA tube using aseptic technique
  2. Add 2-3 drops of bacterial suspension and mix by gentle shaking
  3. Incubate the tube at 37C in a water bath for 30 mins
  4. Centrifuge the tube for 5minutes
  5. Using pasteur pipette, make a smear in a glass slide
  6. Stain the smear using hema-quick stain
  7. Examine under oil immersion objective for the presence of micro organisms within the leukocytes
