What can you say about the reading sub scale of the WIAT
it gives measures of reading speed, comprehension and untimed single word accuracy
allows for assessment of phonological awareness and reading comprehension
What are the antiquated views of interpreting WIAT results?
Some say that VCI corresponds to RD. It is highly likely that someone with a RD will have difficulty in all domains of learning, as it is so language based. So you can’t say that a discrepancy in cognitive and academic function is the way you diagnose RD, as it’s not true.
