how brain and emotions will affect your vision? (chapter two)
when you start to work on your goals that are greater than you currently, part of your brain called the amygdala activate sending fear signals through your body, so you will experience danger and run away from what you do, but there is another part of your brain create counter process called prefrontal cortex it lights up when you dream about possibilities in world, and its activation signals your neurons to make new pathways, this process of building new behavioral path ways called neuroplasticity, the more you think about it the stronger the connections come, and those strengthened connection create strengthened beliefs.
what are the stages of compelling vision?(chapter two)
before the stages there are couple things that are important like enjoying yourself, when you decide your compelling vision and you that you should not be afraid of dreaming big. after all you cant achieve greatness if your dreams arent big enough.
the four stages are: impossible, possible, probable, given
an impossible dream is something so hard that you will believe its like impossible, at this point you should not ask how could I make it but what if?
the second stage is a possible dream, you start to wonder what your life would be if you attain the dream?
the third stage is a probable dream: the moment you believe your vision is no longer an impossible thing so you ask how?
the fourth is: a given reality: you now believe fully in yourself that you will achieve.
what kind of goals in the compeling vision?
long term and immediate and short term goals.
long term goals are ideas you have about you life once you achieved everything you want, usually formed by taking few minutes to write: 1-important things to your physical, 2-mental, spiritual, relational, financial, professional, personal arenas of life. what legacy you want to leaveand what life style do you want to live, how do you want your family to live, who do you want to be, how much you want to make.
short term- goals: what you want to achieve in the next three years: based on the long-term what is the most attainable, learn to shape your 12-weeks plan.
