12-Lead ECG Flashcards
What are the four STEMI mimics?
-LBBB
-BER
-Pericarditis
-LVH
What are the characteristics of a LBBB?
-QRS >120ms
-Prominent S wave in V1-V3
-Prominent R wave is V5,V6,1,AVL
-ST elevation common in V1-4
What are four characteristics for BER?
-Widespread Concave ST elevation
-Osbourne wave
-No reciprocal changes
-ST changes are stable over time.
What are four characteristics of pericarditis?
-Widespread concave ST elevation
- PR depression
-Reciprocal ST depression and PR elevation in AVR
-Sinus tachycardia
What are characteristics of LVH/ requirements
S (v1 or V2) + R (V5 and V6) >35mm
STEMI requirements by age
-Men <40 2.5mm in V2-3 and 1mm in all other leads
-Men >= 40 2mm in V2-3 and 1mm in all other leads
-Women: 1.5mm IN v2-3 AND 1mm in all other leads.
Characteristics of an aVR stemi
-Widespread horizontal ST depression
-ST elevation in aVR >1mm
-ST elevation in aVR is greater than V1
-Cannot be diagnosed in presence of tachycardia
Normal ECG intervals
-R-R: 0.6 to 1.2 seconds
-P wave: 80 milliseconds
-PR interval: 120-200 milliseconds
-PR segments: 50-120 milliseconds
-QRS complex: 80-100 milliseconds
-ST segment: 80-120milliseconds
-T wave 160milliseconds
