Silver- can be soldered, mallebale, corrosion resistant
Uses= jewellery, cutlery

Gold- corrosion resistant, can be soldered, mallebale
Uses= electronic components, jewellery

Low carbon steel- high tensile strength, tough, mallebale, poor sestistance to corrosion
Uses= nuts, bolts, screws and car bodies

Medium carbon steel- harden then low carbon but less ductile, tough
Uses= strings, garden tools

Cast iron- hard outer skin but brittle cores good under compression
Uses= machines parts, sheet furniture like bins and lighting
