- a student is absent from the course of instruction to the extent cannot obtain credit
- a student cannot obtain credit due to command recall of the student

Alerts Naval Safety Centre for incidents which may result in the degradation of a units readiness.

Initial CASREP- identifies the status of the casualty and parts assistance requirement
Update CASREP- submits changes to previously submitted Initial CASREP
Correction CASREP- submitted when equipment is repaired and back in operational condition
Cancellation CASREP- submitted upon commencement of overhaul or when equipment is scheduled to be repaired
