they must all be considered for it to be a Prince2 project.
What is the purpose of the themes?
Themes describe aspects of PM that must be continually addressed throughout it’s life cycle.

Define + establish the project’s structure of accountability + responsibilities.

Define + implement a way to verify products are fit for purpose.

Communication and control , defining the means of delivering the product.

What if?
Identify, assess + control the uncertainty.
Explain the theme: Change
What is the impact?
Identify, assess + control any potential + approved changes the Project baselines.
Explain the theme: Progress
Where are we? Where are we going? Should we carry on?
Mechanisms to monitor + compare achievements against those planned. Ongoing viability of Plans.
Explain the principle: Continued Business Justification?
“Are the benefits still worth it?” Rationale behind creating the MVP.
Explain the principle: Learn from experience?
Continued learning, such as retrospectives, inspect and adapt. Lessons used in PLANS and written up in LESSONS LOG

“Is everyone clear what is expected of them?”
Explain the principle: Manage by Stages
“is the project worth continuing?” Managing a project by breaking it down into manageable chunks or time boxes.
Explain the principle: Manage by exception
Establishes tolerances for the 6 project objectives. A PRINCE2 project has defined tolerances for each project objective to establish limits of delegated authority.
Explain the principle: Focus on products
“Are we delivering at the quality required?” A Product Description should be written ASAP so everyone is clear on what needs to be built.
