Describe the characteristics of the gun fire: Trajectory Burst of Fire Cone of Fire Beaten Zone Dead Space Danger Space
Trajectory: path of projectile through the air
Burst of Fire: # of rounds in each burst 6-20
Cone of Fire: different trajectories as a result of ammo, condition, tripod, vibration, recoil
Beaten Zone: are on the ground upon which the cone of fire falls
Dead Space: areas within the max range which are obstructed
Danger Space:are from muzzle, including the beaten zone, where a standing man will be hit
What is the SECURITY PATROL?
Patrol to detect/destroy infiltration by the enemy and protect against ambush

Location of user’s unknown position using 2 or 3 known positions and shooting a back azimuth.
