What is the definition of Continuing Airworthiness?
Actions required to keep an aircraft in an airworthy condition as when it was built
What subparts of Part M does not concern all aircraft types?

Contains maintenance support
E.g who the pilot should contact for maintenance support
What must happen when transferring aircraft continuation airworthiness records?
All records must be transferred to the new operator and the document retention periods still apply
What must happen to defects that can hazard the safe operation if an aircraft?
Must be rectified
What 2 approvals are available for maintenance organisations to carry out maintenance on aircraft used for CAT and small aircraft NOT used for CAT?
Part 145 for large or CAT aircraft
Part M Subpart F for small aircraft
Who requires a maintenance organisation manual (MOM) and what is it?
Subpart F and similar to MOE
When would subpart F organisation require an MOE and Part 145 organisation?
When it has more than 10 staff
To retain their company personal authorisations, what experience requirements must certifying staff have?
6 months relevant maintenance experience in the last 2 years
What organisation receives its approval under Part M Subpart G?
Continuing Airworthiness Management Organisation (CAMO)

What is a controlled environment?
Continually managed by the same continuous airworthiness management organisation (CAMO) for previous 12 month period
Been maintained for the previous 12 months by approved maintenance organisations including cert staff and pilot owner tasks
How many times can an ARC be extended?
Twice and on the third year it must have a review
An EASA UK registered aircraft is sold to another person in the UK, does the ARC remain valid?
Yes so long as the aircraft is on register of a member state it remains valid until the expiry date
What is a dry lease?
A lease agreement where an aircraft is operated under the AOC of the lessee
What is a wet lease?
A lease agreement where an aircraft is operated under the AOC of the lessor
1313\2014 IR Continuing Airworthiness has a new part- annex V part T, what does it cover?
It covers dry lease licensed operators, operating aircraft registered in a third country
