7 Elements of the Marine Corp Mission

MHG (Marine Headquarters Group) is the MEF HQ. What does the MHG Do?

when forward deployed to the MEF and MEB CE.

MARCENT (Marine Corp Forces Central Command)
The service component of the US Central Command.
Responsible for all Marines in the CENTCOM area of responsibility in the middle east.

MFR (Marine Forces Reserve)
Augments and reinforces active duty Marine units in a time of war or national emergency.

A task organized to support the MAGTF by performing some or all 6 functions of Marine aviation.

can be rapidly deployed via amphibious transport, strategic airlift, or MPF
