changes the surface of platelets decreasing the effectiveness of clot-forming. blocks formation of thromboxane A2 so it cant aggregate platelets. last as long as platelet is alive 5-7 days

  • Ischemic chest pain
  • mild pain
  • fever

contra

  • risk vs benefit for chest pain
  • hypersensitivity to NSAIDS or salicylates
  • active gi bleed
  • bleeding disorders
