Vessels using a TSS shall:
- Proceed in the appropriate traffic lane in the general direction of traffic flow for that lane
- Keep clear of the traffic separation line or separation zone
- When joining or leaving a traffic lane, it will be done at the termination of a lane. But when joining or leaving from either side shall do so at as small an angle to the general direction
If needing to crossing a TSS…
Shall cross at a near right angle to the general direction of traffic flow

- In cases of emergency to avoid immediate danger
- To engage in fishing within a separation zone

A vessel that is RAM when engaged in an operation for the maintenance of safety of navigation…
