Describe Bioavailability
-The fraction of the dose that has passed from the site of administration into the general circulation as the parent compound.
-The parent compound is the drug that was administered that has not undergone any chemical changes inside the body.
-1 would be all the dug makes it if administered orally will almost always be below 1.
Describe how to calculate Biovalability
-To measure bioavailability you must compare the plasma concentrations against a intravenous plasma concentration as 100% will get into general circulation. by plotting a graph and using the area you can calculate the bioavailability
-f= Area under curve (oral)/ Area under curve (Intravenous)
Describe Distribution
-The rate and extent of movement of the parent drug from, the blood into the tissue after administration and its return from tissues into the blood during elimination.
