Inclusion is about accommodating all people
What is the difference between diversity and inclusion?
Diversity focuses on the makeup of a workforce including personal, physical and social characteristics.
Inclusion is about creating a work environment and culture where all employees can participate and thrive.
What are the benefits of diversity and inclusion?
Better morale (employees feel included)

What are the negatives of diversity and inclusion?
Communication barriers
Tokenism - Choosing a candidate based on an under represented group rather than merit
What is unconscious bias?
Unconscious forms of discrimination and stereotyping based on various factors such as race, gender and sexuality
How do you reduce unconscious bias?
Develop self awareness
Challenge judgements and prejudices

Explain how the RICS Rules of Conduct relate to inclusion and diversity?
This is the very core of the RICS Rules of Conduct and specifically Rule 4.
RICS recognises that attracting and retaining the best talent requires a commitment to diversity regardless of factors such as race, gender or disability.
