The experience of His love is the ONLY foundation that cannot be destroyed.
God’s love is not addressed to the person I think I should be, but to the person I am.
All I need to do is
RELAX
BE HUMBLE
and
PAY ATTENTION
I open myself to Him so that He may find me and fill me.
Please Lord Jesus, breathe into me the breath of the Holy Spirit to blow away all of my self-illusion, that YOU may be my only Foundation.
God creates – with a purpose – worthy of His greatness.
Ask daily for the grace to fulfill my purpose
and to know what that purpose is,
if that would help in fulfilling it.
Remember the story of the cracked marble => David – in Florence.
And for heaven’s sake, don’t ever forget that the marble was CRACKED.
Remember that it signified the shattered hopes of the village people who trusted!
The God who created Michelangelo wants to create a masterpiece out of the block of marble that I am.
He knows full well what to do with my cracks.
TRUST HIM.
I cannot exaggerate the GRANDEUR OF GOD.
Trust Him.
To this great God, I have three responses:
PRAISE
REVERENCE
SERVICE
Ask for the grace to know deeply that THE single most important thing I am to do is to praise Him, reverence Him and to serve Him.
I praise Him only by being gratefully, joyfully HIS!
Not by being right or getting the job done.
Simply embrace my inability.
On a daily basis
ask for the grace to reject that which clouds my vision of
what really matters to God.
Every day is given to me to praise, reverence and serve Him.
Allow all things to show me His beauty, His goodness, His justice and His mercy.
If I really know Him I know that He loves me beyond my wildest dreams – then I can trust Him to provide for me and to make ALL things work together for my good.
