Pharmacotherapeutics
How the body deals with the drug (LADME).
Pharmacokinetics
What the drug does to the body (Beneficial & Unwanted).
Pharmacodynamics
The preparation and dispensing of medications.
Pharmacy
The study of the harmful effects of chemicals (drugs).
Toxicology
The brand name assigned to the compound by the pharmaceutical company.
Trade Name
The “official” or ”nonproprietary” name often derived from the chemical name; the easiest and most effective way to refer to a drug.
Generic Name
Harm directly caused by the drug at normal doses, during normal use.
Adverse Drug Reaction
An expected and known effect of a drug that is not the intended therapeutic outcome.
Side Effect
A physician’s order for the preparation and administration of medicine, therapeutic regimen, assistive or corrective device, and other treatments.
Prescription
