What is organisational design?

A

It is a more normative, design-oriented discipline that its aim is producing frameworks and tools to create the best conditions for the success of the company. It’s main task is to coordinate the activities of the members of an institution (rules regarding structure and processes). “So it is a formal, guided process of how to integrate people, information, technology and strategy of an institution. It is used to match the form of the organisation ad closely as possible to the objective the company seeks to achieve”.

Difference between formal and informal organisation

A

FORMAL O. Is an organisation in which the job of each member is clearly defined, whose authority, responsibility and accountability are fixed. INFORMAL O. Is formed within the formal organisation as a network of interpersonal relationships when people interact with each other.
