- back pain, mid thoracic region to the right upper quadrant
- weight loss, loss of appetite, dark-colored stools
- episodes of epigastric pain within 3 hours of eating a meal
- episode of vomiting coffee-ground like materal

- longterm NSAID use leads to peptic ulcers, look for bleeding
- melena and coffee ground vomit indicates bleeding

- stool is hard, loose, or watery stool
- change in stool frequency or difficulty having a bowel movement.
- Left lower quadrant pain with constipation and diarrhea
