Name the 4 rules of balancing equations.

A
  1. Always change words into chemical formulae first.
  2. Only use BIG numbers at the left of compounds when balancing.
  3. Never change the formulae of the compounds.
  4. The total number of each element must be the same on either side of the arrow.
