  2. Note heads should be oval and slightly slanted.

Accidentals

A
  1. Normally, accidentals immediately proceed the note head to which they apply.
  2. If a chord requires 2 accidentals on notes closer than a sixth, write the upper accidental directly to the left of its note head, and the lower accidental by its note head staggered to the left.
  3. For >2 accidentals, stagger them as shown in figure 11 below.
