motor skill
a motor skill is a skill that requires use of muscles effectively
gross motor skill
these movements come from large muscle groups and whole body movement. in infants this includes crawling, jumping, walking and climbing
fine motor skills
fine motor skills are skills that involve a refined use of the small muscles controlling the hand, fingers and thumb. This relies on good hand eye co-ordination.

language development is the process which children go through as they learn to communicate with others using words and speech
intellectual development
intellectual development involves changes in the brain and acquisition of thinking and reasoning skills (learning). It is the development of the mind.
