What is sedentary behaviour
Sedentary behaviour is staying in the same place for large amounts of time and expending low amounts of energy

Inactivity is when people are undertaking insufficient physical activity to achieve measurable health outcomes

Massed practise is where learners practise a skill continuously without any rest breaks or intervals

Distributed practise is where practise sessions have rest intervals (or long breaks). The rest breaks allow a learner to recover physically and mentally

A skill is performed in a changing, unpredictable environment. This skill is internally paced
What is a closed skill?
Skill that is performed in a predictable, stable environment, this type of skill is internally paced.
What is a discrete skill?
A discrete skill has an obvious beginning and end. Distinct beginning, middle and end
What is a continuous motor skill?
Have no definite beginning and end point

Physical activity is any bodily movement produced by gross skeletal muscles that results in significant energy expenditure
