Zygomatic Flashcards
1
Q
Frontal Process
A
Rises vertically and separates the orbit from the temporal fossa.
2
Q
Temporal Process
A
This extends posteriorly, joining the zygomatic process to the temporal bone to form the zygomatic arch.
3
Q
Maxillary process
A
This extends towards the midline, forming the inferolateral orbital margin.
4
Q
Masseteric Origin
A
This is the roughened, expanded inferior edge of the bone. Extends from the zygomaticomaxillary to the temporozygomatic suture. This is the main attachment for the masseter muscle.
5
Q
Zygomaticomaxillary Suture
A
Sutures between the zygomatics and maxillary.
6
Q
Zygomticoorbital Foramen
A
These perforate the inferolateral corner of the orbital cavity.
