What is the DAP?
The original method for selling Zurich products but now we use a tablet
What is Zurich?
A Swiss based insurance group that sells products to protect a cars value amongst a lot of other things
What is VSC?
VSC is a vehicle service contract designed to provide mechanical breakdown coverage on non-exotics
What levels of VSC exist?
Powertrain, standard, and comprehensive
What are the additional benefits for VSC?
Rental reimbursement, emergency roadside assistance, and trip interruption coverage
What’s optional coverage?
These are riders that allow vehicles with snow plows or used for deliveries or ride sharing to be covered
What’s important to know about the optional coverage?
Optional coverage can be added at a later date and must be added if a claim is made on a personal vehicle turned commercial vehicle
What’s the eligibility on a new vehicle plan?
New vehicle plans are usually the least expensive must be under 4 years old and under 100k miles
What’s the deductible on a new vehicle plan?
$100
How’s the new vehicle plan expiration calculated?
When the car hits 100k miles e.g. a car with 20k miles only gets 80k miles of coverage
What’s the eligibility on a used vehicle plan?
0-15 years old and under 200k miles
What’re the deductibles on a used vehicle plan?
$0 $100 $100 waiver (default)
How’s the used vehicle plan expiration calculated?
Contract date of sale and current odometer e.g. a car with 20k miles will be covered to 120k miles
When should a select plan be offered?
For a leased vehicle with a lease exceeding 36 months and 36k miles
When should a manufcaturer certified vehicle upgrade plan be offered?
For a CPO to extend the limited warranty to match the powertrain
Can the vehicle service contract plan be transferred?
The transfer must occur to the second purchaser within 30 days of vehicle ownership for $50
Can the vehicle service contract plan be cancelled?
Yes for a $75 fee if a state specific fee is not indicated
What’s the difference between a powertrain and standard vehicle service contract plan?
A powertrain covers powertrain whereas the standard functions like a limited warranty bumper to bumper and comprehensive covers almost everything
What are some specific things covered by the comprehensive vehicle service plans?
Interior and exterior
Electrical
Whats the eligibility for the select protection bundle?
Under 15 years old and less than 200k miles
what’s covered under select protection bundle?
tire & wheel alloy wheel repair paintless dent repair windshield repair key repair/replacement roadside assistance included
describe the tire and wheel protection (bundle)
replaces wheels and tires due to road hazard max benefit is $2500
describe the wheel repair (bundle)
repairs cosmetic damage to wheels max benefit $800
describe the paintless dent repair (bundle)
repairs a dent less than 4 inches in diameter with no max benefit, hail damage not covered
describe the windshield repair (bundle)
repairs a windshield crack under 6 inches or a chip under 1.5 inches in diameter max benefit $500
describe the key protection (bundle)
replaces 2 keys or $800 per year for vehicle and $100 for house key replacement
Also includes $75 for uber/lyft to pick up a spare

what’s the coverage on tire and wheel (solo)
no deductible or limit per occurrence but $2500 max
premium is go to, curb damage not covered

how long does zurich shield take to add?
20 - 30 minutes pre detail, must be added when car is wet
what can’t you do with zurich shield?
can’t be added to we owe must be put on before departure
what’s the eligibility for zurich shield?
new cars under 4 years
used cars over 5 years
no mileage restrictions
commercial and recreational vehicles ineligible
will leather be replaced on a used car with zurich shield?
No but it will be replaced on a new car with zurich shield
what’re the additional benefits of zurich shield?
rental car reimbursement
renewal after 3 years
transfer within 7 years of first treatment
what’s the eligibility for lease and wear?
coverage must be purchased at lease origination
lease must be under 72 months
vehicle must be for personal use
vehicle must be under a year old and under 10k miles
what’s the coverage on lease and wear?
covers repairs up to $1000/event and $5000/max
