Explain the problems of rapidly growing population
- need for more workers cuxz theres tooo many elderly; less workers, lack skills
- overcrowding could lead to not enough homes;pressure on builders
what is an aging population?
a population with lots of elderly people (65+) and a low birth rate and a high life expectancy.
what is a population policy?
set of measures taken by a government to alter the way the population is changing.
either promoting bigger families or trying to limit birth.
what are natural resources?
resources that exist without action of humankind
what are the two types of natural resources?
Aboitic - non-living materials
Biotic - living materials
what are biodiversity hotspots?
a region that is rich in plants and animals but is at threat from destructions.
what is renewable energy?
energy that will not run out and can be naturally replenished:
- solar
- geothermal
- wind
- hydro electric
what is non renewable energy?
energy that will eventually run out one day:
- oil
- coal
- nuclear power
when does water stress happen?
when a country doesnt have clean water.
