What does a scale look like?
How does a scale show you the distance?
The length of the line is equal to miles on the map.
2cm = 2miles
What makes a good geographer?
Teamwork, effort, resilience, map skills, knowing key words. neat presentation of work, and many more
What makes a good map?
A good map has a compass, a scale and a key
How do you work out a six figure grid reference?
You do exactly the same as you do for four but you add in two extra numbers. Imagine each box of the grid is divided up into 10 sections.
What is physical geography?
the study of natural things around you such as coasts or rivers.
what is human geography?
the study of people and society
what is environmental georaphy?
the study of the interaction between people and the environment (for example global warming)
