Q

Explain how evidence supports the textonic plate thepry?

A

There was an ormgianl continant millions of years ago, as some of the plates moved away from each other the continent split into places all over the world amd therefore proving the tectonic plate theory to as plates like Eurasian, Indian,North American and South American plates have moved a lot of history. Also there are fossils is countries that could not of had that animal living there due to the climate so they had to be somewhere els in time and all together as the same species are found everywhere not in spicific places even though they could not swim.

Q

Explain why earthquakes and volcanos are found along plate boundaries?

A

Earthquakes are found along plate boundaries because when two tectonic plates are ether moving towards or sliding past each other, when they slide past each other it can cause earthquakes by the sheer pressure of the earthquake. In destructive earthquakes, the oceanic plate is more dense and os forced to go below the other plate into the subduction zone, as it descends some cracks in the earths surface allow it to shoot up to the crust as all the rocks have been turned into mantle, earthquakes also occur as pressure builds over time, something snaps and can cause shock waves witch can lead to earthquakes.

Q

Explain how earthquakes and volcanos occur in destructive boundaries?

A

For Volcanos ,when then oceanic plate is forced downwards its boiling points are reached and it turns into mantle, some of it in the subduction zone escape through very narrow cracks in the earths crust making volcano eruptions occur. For earthquakes, there are extremely strong convectional currents on the plate boundary of the mantle put pressure for the plates to move, over time small things can snap out of place, this causes extreme and multiple sock waves that spread through out the crust causing powerful earthquakes.

Q

Explain how volcanos and earthquakes occur in constructive plate boundaries?

A

Earthquakes primary and secondary waves force land apart on a divergent(constructive)plate boundary. Then,as there is no crust magma from the matle comes rushing up causing volcanos.

Q

Explain the effects of the monsarrate volcano? Use facts

A

The effects of monsarrate volcano is that 19 people died, 75 percent of the island left for good due to uncertainty and risk or staying. Most of farming and food production was destroyed due do the volcanic ash, there was also a lot of rocks and the south side of the island became uninhabitable.

Q

Explain why human and physical factors caused the Haiti earthquake to be so destructive?

A

It was so effective due to some human factors of the amount of corruption, poor building quality to save money, a lot of absolute poverty, being a third world country, the collapse of the police force and the destruction of the port and airport. These are all reasons why human factors made the earthquake that hit hati more effective. Witch led to 250 thousand people dead.

Q

Explain the cause of a Tsunami?

A

A tsunami are caused as a effect of earthquakes as an earthquake occurs,(depending on the depth) causes water to rise and water is displaced and is forced to rise, it splits in two as massive waves go in manny two directions it travels at massive speed and hits the land.
