  2. Isolated medial malleolar fracture
  3. Bimalleolar fracture (lateral and medial malleoli)
  4. Trimalleolar fracture (lateral, medial and posterior malleoli)

(The posterior malleoli is the posterior distal tibia)

What is a Lisfranc injury?

A

Injury of tarsal metatarsal joint between the medial cuneiform and the second metatarsal.

Can be solely ligamentous or boney structures of the mid-foot.

Typically occurs in a RTA or athletes injury on a PLANTAR-FLEXED foot
