Q

What does exemption 17347 allow?

A

A flight to be dispatched to a destination where there’s a TEMPO or PROB30 which forecasts the wx being below CAT 1 Wx Mins at the time of arrival as long as you add the 2nd alternate.

*Main body still needs to say the wx will be greater than required minima at time of arrival

A

BURN + RESERVE + ALT + CONTINGY

26
Q

How is ramp fuel calculated?

A

TO Fuel + Tanker + Taxi

27
Q

What is CONTINGY FUEL?

A

MCF + Hold

28
Q

What is the minimum CONTINGY FUEL?

A
700 = 937

170lbs of missed in 700
222lbs of missed in 900

29
Q

What is TANKER fuel?

A

Extra fuel for ground delays

30
Q

How is reserve fuel calculated?

A

No less than 45 minutes, based upon long-range cruise power setting at FL250

31
Q

What is PYLD?

A

(Pax Booked times Seasonal Wt.) + (1.5 bags per pax times standard checked baggage weight)

32
Q

What is the difference between PYLD and PAYLD?

A

PYLD is planned weight. PAYLD is the max weight flight can carry.

33
Q

How would you find a fuel diagram?

A

POH Chapter 9 - performance - fuel planning

34
Q

How long is a flight release valid?

A

Remains valid until modified.

35
Q

How long is your flight plan valid for?

A

2 Hours

36
Q

How much can actual QNH and PQNH differ?

A

-.10”

37
Q

What doesn’t MFPTW consider?

A

MFPTW doesn’t include max runway structural TO weight

38
Q

What’re the remarks section for?

A

Any items which could degrade performance and containment levels

39
Q

Purpose of ACARS and NOTES section?

A

To help with NOTAMS that shorten RWY available, and any extra info.

40
Q

Difference between simple special and complex special?

A

Simple Special: Turn below 1000ft/Single engine std. operating procedures cannot be used due to obstacle requirements.

Complex Special: Engine Failure procedure too complex for the simple special table.

41
Q

When do we use the PTOW plus 1000 number?

A

When calculated TO Weight exceeds MTOW for planned TO data.

42
Q

When would 10kts. TW Data be used?

A

Any time there’s any TW component.

43
Q

What do the dashed lines mean in the TLDR?

A

No data is available and RWY may not be used.

44
Q

When would we use cost index or econ charts?

A

When the ACARS is inoperative, or no communication in flight.

45
Q

What does the / mean?

Q

What is N1 for?

A

Go around N1 thrust setting.

48
Q

When do we use performance numbers for NO THR REV CREDIT vs THR REV CREDIT?

A

NO THR REV CREDIT: Landing without thrust reverse is anticipated.

THR REV CREDIT: Thrust reversers are needed.
