Businesses = employees to see SALES and PERFORMANCE DATA or for COMMUNICATION because it can be ACCESSED REMOTELY.

PRIVATE + SHARED ACCESS.
E.g. hotel booking companies use this to allow hotel room owners to LOG IN VIA THE INTERNET to access + update info.

SPEED = how QUICKLY DATA can be ACCESSED. E.g. EXTRANET is the SLOWEST network because it must be accessed through the INTERNET first.
SECURITY = how likely DATA will be KEPT SECURE. E.g. INTRANET is more secure because only AUTHORISED USERS can LOG IN.
ACCESS LEVELS = PERMISSIONS to see DATA + FILES. E.g. resources on an INTRANET can be set so only AUTHORISED USERS can view them.
ACCESSIBILITY = HOW AVAILABLE THE DATA IS. E.g. INTERNET can be accesses on any network enabled device at ANY TIME.
