Q

Bombing of London/Britain

A

The German Air Force, the Luftwaffe, bombed London and Britain. The British’s Spitfire Jets were better than the German’s Messerschmitts. The Germans decided to bomb London at night, so they would be protected by the dark and prevent losses. The British decided to perform blackouts, everyone would cut the lights, including outdoor lights. The Germans, who couldn’t see during the night, decided they would bomb cities. The Blitz lasted 8 months, it killed thousands of British and destroyed 1 million homes.
