A

Every year, every American citizen would get a ration book with ration slips even babies. These ration slips were slips allowing people to buy things, such as bread, sugar, gasoline, meat, and more. Without them, you could not buy anything. This was in order to ration supplies. There was a black market for forged versions of these, but anyone caught engaging in it would be arrested. It was considered going against the war effort ot do this

A

Women helped to fill up the jobs of men who had went to war, and they proved that they could do these jobs that were typically considered “men’s” jobs. This helped to start women’s rights ideas.

How did Hispanics help?

A

Many hispanics fought in the war, others known as braceros worked on farms. A program kept them protected because of their work, and it even lasted after the war was done.

A

Zoot suit riots which were partially caused by white servicemen took attention off the war, which was bad for the war effort.
