a form of gov. in which all aspects of daily life are controlled by a central authority
Neutrality
a policy of non involvement in wars or the affairs of other nations
Mobilization
the making ready of military forces for war
Dictator
a leader who is above the law; does what he wants
Lend-Lease
where the USA would lend or rent war materials (tanks ships, airplanes etc.) to friendly nations during ww2
Domestic Front
the homeland; whats going on at home while the war is being fought elsewhere
Civilians
regular people who are not fighting a war
Rationing
controlled distribution of resources, goods, or services
Casualties
people who get hurt/killed during war
Genocide
killing a certain group or race of people on purpose. Hitler exterminating the Jews was genocide
Adolf Hitler
Dictator of Nazi Germany, started ww2 by invading European countries
Benito Mussolini
Dictator of Fascist Italy, started ww2 by invading Africa teaming up with Hitler
Hideki Tojo
Dictator of Imperial Japan, teaming up with Hitler and Mussolini, invaded mainland Asia starting ww2
Pearl Harbor
Attacked by Japan Dec. 7 1941 ; bringing the USA into ww2
Holocaust
deliberate genocide of 6 million Gypsies, Jews, homosexuals, mentally/physically challenged by Nazy Germany
