What were the duckbords for in trench warefares?
These were placed on ground to stop troops sinking in the mud.

Rooms dug out of the back wall of trenches. Orders recieved by telephone

Enables troops to see ‘over the top’ without risk of being shot.
What was the concrete bunker in the trench warefares?
Reinforced subterranean bunker.
What was the artillery in the trench warfares?
Huge guns that fired enormous explosive or poisonous shells for miles.
What was the Gas bell in the trench warefares?
Would be rung to tell troops to put on gas masks.
What was trench foot and how were soldiers infected?
Trench foot was a disease which was an infection of the feet caused by cold, wer and dirty conditions. In the trenches men stood for hours in wet, muddy trenches without being able to remove wet socks or boots.
