  • when working with extendor carpi ulnaris it produces adduction of the hand at the wrist
  • important role in stabilising the pisiform during abduction of the little finger
  • as with flexor carpi radialis, ulnaris is an important synergist in extension of the fingers preventing unwanted extension of the wrist
