Flexor Digitorum Profundus
O: anterior and medial surfaces of proximal two thirds of ulna; interosseous membrane
I: distal phalanx of 4 fingers
A: flexion of distal phalanx of each of the four fingers (medial four digits); with continued action, flexion of the middle and proximal phalanges; aids in flexion of hand
N: median ulnar nerve
Flexor Digitorum Superficialis
O: medial epicondyle of humerus (common flexor tendon); medial aspect of coronoid process of ulna; proximal half of radius distal to radial tuberosity
I: base of middle phalanx of each of four fingers (medial four digits)
A: flexion of middle phalanx of four fingers (medial four digits); with continues action, flexion of each proximal; aids in flexion of hand
N: median nerve
Flexor Digiti Minimi Brevis
O: hook of hamate; flexor retinaculum
I: base of proximal phalanx of 5th digit
A: flexion of the 5th digit
N: deep branch of ulnar nerve
Palmar Interossei
O: sides of metacarpals 2,4, and 5
I: base of proximal phalanx and extensor expansion of digits 2,4,and 5
A: adducts digits towards axial line of hand (3rd digit); flexes digits at metacarpophalangeal joint and extends interphalangeal joints
N: ulnar nerve (deep branch)
Lumbricals
O: 1st and 2nd: lateral two tendons of flexor digitorum profundus. 3rd and 4th: medial three tendons of flexor digitorum profundus
I: 1st and 2nd: lateral sides of extensor expansion of digits 2 and 3. 3rd and 4th: lateral sides of extensor expansion of digits 4 and 5
A: extends digits at interphalangeal joints, flex metacarpophalangeal joints
N: ulnar nerve (deep branch)
Extensor Digitorum Communis
O: lateral epicondyle of humerus (common extensor tendon)
I: middle and distal phalanges of each of four fingers (medial four digits)
A: extension of each of four fingers (medial four digits)
N: radial nerve
Extensor Indicis
O: posterior surface of ulna; interosseous membrane
I: extensor expansion of index finger
A: extension and adduction of index finger
N: radial nerve
Extensor Digiti Minimi
O: lateral epicondyle of humerus (common extensor tendon)
I: middle and distal phalanges of little finger

N: radial nerve
Dorsal Interossei
O: adjacent sides of two metacarpal bones
I: base of proximal phalanges, extensor expansion of digits 2-4
A: abduct digits from axial line of hand (3rd digit); flex digits at metacarpophalangeal joint and extend interphalangeal joints
N: ulnar nerve (deep branch)
