What is the WRC?
The WRC is an independant body that provides a range of industrial relations services to employers of employees.
Information
The WRC provides information on employment law and instrustrial relations to employers and employees through its website.
Advisory Service
The advisory service works with businesses to build and maintain postitive industrial relations in the workplace.
Conciliation
An independant conciliator hears the dispute and helps both parties to reach a mutually acceptable agreement.
Mediation
The mediation officer tries to get both parties to reach a mutually acceptable solution to their dispute.
Adjudication Service
Adjudication officers investigates cases when mediation has been unsuccessful. They hear both sides of the dispute and make a decision on how the case should be solved.
Codes of practice
The WRC formulates codes of practice, which are written rules that define how people or organisations must act in particular situations.
