- Arterial→ Distal toes or bw= arterial; DRY wound bed, no exudate; 100% necrotic black eschar=poor perfusion; periwound intact w/ no edema
- Topical→ enzymatic debridement (cleared by MD)
- Dressing→ should retain moisture: transparent film or hydrocolloid

- Diabetic wound→ see pics for description; plantar surf foot, round regular shape, deep like crater; green tinge likely infx; DM wounds MOST LIKELY to get infx’d; most likely Charcot foot
- Topical→ Antiseptic; For infx, topical that addresses infx; Acetic acid for pseudonomas; Rx based antibx (Bactroban) treats bacterial infx
- Dressing→ Foam dressing (w/ Ag+)

Unstageable Full Thick pressure ulcer (buttocks); maybe tunneling, sinus track and/or undermining
- 2 aspects of tissue have healthy red granulation tissue and epithelization→ wound healing
- Topical→ Need to det. if wound bed necrotic, infx, or exposed tendon/lig/bone before det’ing.
- Dressing→ Collagen

- Venous→ L. malleolus gives it away; periwound has macerated edges= wetness+lots of drainage; irregular borders; copious exudate
- Topical→ Enyzmatic debridement
- Dressings→ Alginate (moisture absorb.)
