Types of intentional force describes behavioral intent
Lethal Force
Kills the victim
Administrative Force
Single method of killing focused focused on a vital area solely to kill the person
Brutal Force
In service of anger; one or more injuries with tremendous damage
Overkill
In service of cumulative rage; repeated infliction of injury beyond what is necessary to kill someone and after death
Control-Oriented Force
Physically aggressive behavior that restricts or prevents the victim’s movement
Defensive Force
Intended to protect the actor from attack or danger
Precautionary Force
Causes wound patterns intended to throw off an investigation by preventing recognition or collection of evidence
Experimental Force
Fulfills non-aggressive, psychological, and fantasy-oriented needs; doesn’t require a conscious or living victim
Physical Torture
Repeated infliction of nonlethal injury to a conscious victim
