What are the four types of wound?
A
- Clean - Uninfection, no imflammation and no entering of GI, GU or Resp tract
- Clean contaminated - Resp, GU or GI tract entered in a controlled way
- Contaminated - Open, fresh accidental would with inflammation
- Dirty - Old traumatic wound with existing infection

What are the three types of wound closure?
A
- Primary - Bringing the edges together eg staples or suture
- Secondary - Cant pull together so allow to heal eg vacupack
- Tertiary (delayed) - Heavily infected wound with debris that doesnt close eg bite or glass
