Blaming others for your problems.
Totalitarian State
The government has total control of every aspect of peoples lives. Such as wages, sciences, sports, media, and religion.
Neutrality Acts
1935, banned arms sales or loans to countries at war. Congress also warned Americans not to travel on ships of countries at war.
Good Neighbor Policy
FDR withdrew American troops from Nicaragua & Haiti. He canceled the Platt Amendment.
Munich Conference
Hitler promised that Germany would not seek further territory once it had acquired Sudetenland.
Appeasement
Practive of giving in to agression in order to avoid war.
Nazi-Soviet Pact
Hitler and Stalin agreed not to attack each other. Secretly, they also agreed to divide Poland and other parts of Europe.
Biltzkrieg
Lightning war, swift attacks. Used by Germany against Poland.
Cash and Carry Plan
U.S. could sell arms to the Allies. The Allies had to pay cash for the goods & carry them on their own ships.
Lend-Lease Act
Allowed sales or loans of war materials to any country whose defense the President deems vital to the defense of the U.S.
War Production Board
helped factories shift from making consumer goods to making war goods.

Leader of Germany who was a soldier in WW1.

- Felt superior to others
- Strong emphasis on the military
Italy
- Leader: Benito Mussolini
- Political Party: National Fascist Party
- Want to be the Roman Empire.
- They invaded Ethiopia.
- Mussolini + veterans took over and built up the military.
- Became an alliance with Germany.
