Trench warfare, posion gas, tanks, airplanes and u-boats
What is a total war and who played a major role on the Home Front?
When all of a nations resources go toward war. Females played a really big role on the home front as they had to make the weapons for the war.

How was Russia ill-prepared for the war?
The factories couldn’t produce enough weapons quick enough. They also didn’t have good transportation. Poor leadership they chose over popularity rather than skills.
How were the conditions on the home front in Russia?
Many things were scarce including foods and other goods. Poverty and famine.
What were the changes in Russia the Bolsheviks wanted to make?
They wanted to change Russia into a communist state, private party.
What was the result of the Russian Civil War?
The Blosheckiks won. Millions of people died due to fighting and famine. Russian communist dominated the country. Lennon becomes the leader.

The Soviet Union was formed. (USSR)
What is a genocide? What was the Armenian Genocide?
Mass killing of the people of a nation. Turkey and Ottoman Empire started killing Armenians because of their religion.

What were major events or reasons why the United States favored the Allies in World War I?
The sinking of the Lusitania and the zimmerman which was a coded telegram, Economic ties.

3 countries wanted something different, couldn’t come to an agreement.
What were the terms of the Treaty of Versailles?
Germany would have to pay money, give land back, and take full responsibility.
What did the Treaty of Versailles contain that was viewed as a victory for Woodrow Wilson? Why did it ultimately fail?
He had got the League of Nations but Congress didn’t like it so they kicked it out.

It was re-drawn.
What were the costs of the war (human, economic, and political)?
208 billion dollars and 200 million soilders. Lost around an entrie generation. Destroying the countries involved encomomies. New leaders put in power and destroyed local governments. (Won’t be a test question)
