ولا تَلْمِزوا أنفُسَكُم
and do not insult one another
إِنَّ بَعْضَ الظَّنِّ إِثْمٌ
indeed some suspicion is a sin
إِنَّمَا ٱلصَّدَقَـٰتُ لِلْفُقَرَآءِ وَٱلْمَسَـٰكِينِ وَٱلْعَـٰمِلِينَ عَلَيْهَا وَٱلْمُؤَلَّفَةِ قُلُوبُهُمْ وَفِى ٱلرِّقَابِ وَٱلْغَـٰرِمِينَ وَفِى سَبِيلِ ٱللَّهِ وَٱبْنِ ٱلسَّبِيلِ ۖ فَرِيضَةًۭ مِّنَ ٱللَّهِ ۗ وَٱللَّهُ عَلِيمٌ حَكِيمٌ
Zakah expenditures are only for the poor and for the needy and for those employed to collect (Zakah) and for bringing hearts together (for Islam) and for freeing captives (or slaves) and for those is debt and for the cause of Allah and for the (stranded) traveler – and obligation (imposed) by Allah. And Allah is All Knowing and All-Wise.
Refusal of paying Zakat:
The Prophet Muhammad (SAW) said: “Anyone who refuse to pay Zakat will be plagued by Allah (SWT) with years of hardships.”
Religion is Naseeha:
The Prophet (peace be upon him) said, “The religion is naseehah (sincerity).” We said, “To whom?” He (peace be upon him) said, “To Allah, His Book, His Messenger, and to the leaders of the Muslims and their common folk.”
Backbiting
The Prophet (SAW) said: “The Backbiter shall not enter in paradise”
Support your brother
The Prophet (SAW) said that “ Support your brother whether he is the oppressor or the oppressed.”
تَحۡبَطَ
Lest your deeds become null or corrupt and degenerate
فَاسِقُۢ
An unrighteous and disobedient person
ٱلرَّٲشِدُونَ
Those who are rightly guided
لَا تُقَدِّمُو
Do not precede the Prophet (SAW) in action or words
Explain the duty of a Muslim when he hears backbiting
When a Muslim hears backbiting, their duty is to avoid joining in, gently try to stop it or leave. They should verify rumours, cover the shames of their brothers’, and encourage good behaviour, following the Islamic teachings.
