Literal meaning of Surat Al Waqi’ah
Event
english translation of surah waqiah 1-6
- When the Inevitable Event takes place,
- then no one can deny it has come.
- It will debase ˹some˺ and elevate ˹others˺.
- When the earth will be violently shaken,
- and the mountains will be crushed to pieces,
- becoming scattered ˹particles of˺ dust,

7.you will ˹all˺ be ˹divided into˺ three groups:
8.the people of the right, how ˹blessed˺ will they be;
9.the people of the left, how ˹miserable˺ will they be;
10.and the foremost ˹in faith˺ will be the foremost ˹in Paradise˺
Hadith on the benefits of reciting Surah Waqiah.
the Messenger of Allah (may peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said, “Whoever recites Surah al-Waqiah every night, he will never be afflicted by poverty
Hadith on Avoid wine:
“Avoid wine; it is the key to every evil.”
جَنَّـٰتِ ٱلنَّعِيمِ
Gardens of pleasure.
مُّنۢبَثًّۭا
Dispersing.
أَصْحَـٰبُ ٱلْمَيْمَنَة
Companions of the right-handed
أَصْحَـٰبُ ٱلْمَشْـَٔمَةِ
The companions of the left handed people
ٱلسَّـٰبقُونَ
The foremost are.
ٱلْمُقَرَّبُونَ
The nearest ones.
وَقَلِيلٌۭ
And a few.
مُّتَّكِـِٔينَ
Reclining
مُّخَلَّدُونَ
Immortal
يُنزِفُونَ
Get intoxicated.
three types of people mentioned in Surah Waqiah.
- (the foremost) As-Sabiqoon : This is the best of the three kinds
- As-habul-Maymanah: Those who receive their records in their right hands
- As-habul-Mash’amah: Those who receive records in their left hands
Deeds that elevate man’s rank in
the Hereafter
- good manners and character
- best obedience in Allah SWT
- Does not backbite or gosssip
- Always speaks good of others
Deeds that downgrade man’s
rank in the Hereafter
- Backbites and gossips
- always has bad intentions
- the abandonment of the Holy Quran
- have disbelief
two events that will take place on the Day
of Judgment as mentioned in the holy verses

The characteristics of the assemblies of righteous Muslims in the worldly life?
- Free from backbiting and slander
- Having strong faith in Allah
- Practicing Islamic teachings in daily life
- Supporting and being united with fellow Muslims
- Performing acts of kindness and goodness
difference between wine in the worldly life and the
wine of Paradise.
Wine in the worldly life-
* It hurts minds and hearts
* Health problems
* Induces intoxication
The wine of Paradise-
* no health problems
* No aching of the head
* No intoxication
The foremost benefits
1 - They will be seated, face to face, on golden encrusted couches.
2 - They shall hear no idle talk nor any sinful speech.
3 – They have their own wives in Paradise.
4 – They eat the most delicious fruit and food.
5 – They will have the drinks of Paradise.
