what is a hypothesis?
an estimate of the results of an experiment, usually beginning with if, refers to the questions and includes all three variables.
what is an aim?
a brief description of why an experiment is being conducted
what is a conclusion?
the summary of an experiment that relates back to aim, hypothesis, background research, method and results.
what is a controlled variable?
controlled variables are factors in an experiment that remains the same.
what is an independent variable?
an independent variable is a factor in an experiment that is altered.
what is a dependent variable?
a dependant variable is what is being measured in an experiment.
what does reliability in an experiment refer to?
to ensure reliability it is recommended you repeat an experiment to ensure the same results.
what does validity in an experiment refer to?
validity refers to the accuracy of a method and it’s accuracy to measure what is intended.
