Dessicates grapes near harvest, concentrating sugars; considered beneficial unless pushed to extreme

Originates in North Africa Produces hot, dry, dusty conditions Warm, southerly wind that picks up moisture and moves it northward across Med Sea onto mainland Spring-dominant Impacts: Comunidad Valenciana

Hot, dry Temperature moderating Easterly, originates over Mediterranean Sea May-October Impacts: Castilla-La Mancha, Andalucia

Cool, humid
Westerly, originates over Atlantic Ocean
