Winds that blow away from the equator west to east
Polar Easterlies
Winds that are found near the poles and move from east to west
Gulf Stream
An ocean current found in the Atlantic Ocean that brings warmer temperatures to the east coast of the US
El Niño
A band of warm ocean temperatures that develop off the coast of South America
La Niña
A band of cold ocean temperatures that develop off the coast of South America
